Shooter Jennings has been involved with music his entire life. He loves country music most, but also enjoys a ton of rock music as well. He used to play in an LA rock band called Stargunn before taking his music back to his roots on this, his debut country album. Shooter is currently busy on tour, and would like to let his fans know how much he truly appreciates them for helping him get to where he is today.

From their Myspace Page:
The Music of New York Street is hip-hop soul, Latin..rock body, reggae heart. Marque Azrael is the vocalist and lyricist, Kyle Velvet is the guitarist and "rifficist", Casey Diaz is the bassist and an activist, Taylor Davis is the drummist and beat provider,Ryan "ickie" Fletcher is our resident percussionist and beat rounder, and Daniel "Deezy" Mills who is currently serving in the Marines is a contributing lyricist. Each individual has a distinct background from the other which, when melded together, creates a highly enjoyable and intriguing sound. We change our style from song to song as the message and emotion require. Our songs are written with universal appeal on subjects like: love and rejection, human nature, spirituality, struggle and triumph, politics and everyday situations. In the past few months we could be caught pretty frequently at the Sky Light Coffee house and have also played shows at Pete's, Downtown Records, Rhino's, Mr. Marmalade's Variety Show at the Lafayette Theater, The Black Sparrow, and of course on New York St.

Saturday May 31st * The Funk of 40,000 Years & Dave Helms Project

From their Myspace Page:
The Funk of Forty Thousand Years started in August 2007 in Michigan. The core mission is to deliver live organic funk and soul to the masses. As the band sound matured, sprinkles of jazz improvisation started to percolate and are now a permanent fixture. Yasin Jackson has been writing and singing for many years and pounced on the opportunity to join the band. Her voice has been compared to Carole King, Erykah Badu and others. Her lyrics and vocal scats provide plenty of food for thought. Bassist Michael P. Jackson is the main composer and brought the band together. He started playing music at the age of 8, learning clarinet. Through the years he has learned many instruments including alto, tenor, and berry sax. At age 19 a date with a bass would change things forever. The Funk of Forty Thousand Years features one of the hottest rhythm sections on the scene today. In February 2008 the band completed the 2008 RPM Challenge to write, record, mix, master and press an album of 100% original material in one month. The album “One Foot” is available at all shows and will be on itunes in the coming months. The band has set its sights on every town needing some funk East of the Mississippi and plans a West Coast stint in late 2008. The Funk of Forty Thousand Years makes its NYC Manhattan debut on May 26th.

Thursday May 29th * The Buzzkills

From their Myspace Page:
Coming from influences all over the musical landscape, The Buzzkills have found a niche somewhat hard to define. The early demos started as a bedroom side project and were characterized by a straight ahead heavy rock and punk sound. With the addition of Kyle Gilpin and Jon Weston in the fall of 2007 the band has begun to push new musical boundaries adding a much more jammy, southern rock feel. The best description would have to be a hard, classic sounding rock band with great improvisational ability and an unbeatable energy-packed live show. Expect a different show every time around. With an extensive cover repertoire of great classic rock as well as some early 90’s alternative The Buzzkills can play to any crowd, young or old. Pieced together from former members of, Alexandra, 12 & 2, along with some extra help, The Buzzkills are currently booking throughout the Mid-West and are beginning work on their first album!

Saturday May 24th * Gravity Wagon

(Ska, Progressive, Jam Band)
From their Myspace Page: http://www.myspace.com/gravitywagon
Gravity Wagon has never killed anyone. Ever. I mean really, the first thing I like to know when I choose bands to like is if they are murderers. It would suck if you were at a show, rockin' out, dancin', and all of a sudden the band converged upon you like ninjas and ended your life. Imagine sitting on the Blue Line, ipod blasting through those little ass earphones and WHAM, poison dart to the neck. Not on our watch buddy. We know it's popular these days for bands to participate in pogroms and such, but we tow the line for justice. Just take that as our personal guarantee to you. We value you life. We value your friends' lives. We will not cause fatal harm to anyone. Even people you don't know or like. And that's the kind of promise you can take to the bank. You could kind of think of us as modern day super heroes. Just not the kind that wear tights or anything stupid like that. Come to think of it, we all sort of gravitate more towards the earth-tones. Was there ever an earth-tone super hero? Super Man? No. Spider Man? No. Green Lantern? No. Even Captain Planet (who was a pretty shitty hero) was all like sky blue and red and stuff. You know what? Fuck Captain Planet. He was a hack. So in closing, Gravity Wagon will never kill you, will not wear tights and will have a subdued, yet classic fashion sense focusing on natural colors and fibers derived from sustainable resources utilizing eco-friendly growing techniques when available. In this crazy mixed up world we live in, I take a lot of comfort in that.

MVL's music is often empowering to women and has been known to impress even the biggest anti-pop critic. She is a breath of fresh air in a city where Pop/R&B acts often go un-recognized. Inspired by Pop icons such as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Pink, MVL aspires to continue to write and sing "real" music for the "real" audience!
Mic Sol (Hip Hop)

Freeze (Hip Hop)

At age 16 "Freeze" formed a rap crew name U.L.H. Born in Johnson County Freeze moved to the southside of Indianapolis at age 18 where he begen his lyrical journey by freestyle battling against other mc's at clubs and venues. Raised in a lower/middle class family with strong political beliefs the jail system got a hold of freeze. Freeze now focuses his energy on music and has found another outlet for expression. Rhymfest and Bhype, just to name a few are some of the opponents that Freeze has battled in competition. Victory was attained against those opponents and thats how Freeze earned his respect from the local hip hop community in Indianapolis. Freeze has opened up for acts such as Rhazel, Non Phixion, De La Soul, Black Sheep, Heiroglyphics, O.C., Boom Bap Project, Casual, Royce Tha 5"9, Esham and many other big names.
